Once upon a time, Noblesville was at the center of a thriving railroad community. While the railroad industry isn’t thriving as much as it used to, the trains are still running in Noblesville! In 2017, the Nickle Plate Express was opened. This educational train ride experience takes visitors on a journey across 12.5 miles of the former Nickle Plate Road. This family-friendly train excursion runs from April to December.

2) Visit the Hamilton County Museum ????

This charming building used to be the Hamilton County Sheriff’s residence, as well as the town’s jail. The old sheriff’s residence was closed down in the 70s’ and is now owned by the Hamilton County Historical Society, which has converted it into a county museum. This small jail has had its share of devious visitors in its’ cells, including Charles Manson and D.C. Stephenson.

3) Paddle On with the White River Canoe Company ????

Looking for some outdoor activities that the whole family can participate in? White River Canoe Company offers both half and full-day trips that are perfect for all ages. At the end of your trip, a shuttle bus is provided to take you back to your car.

4) Check Out Nickel Plate Arts ????

Celebrate local artists by visiting Nickel Plate Arts! This gorgeous gallery offers rotating art exhibits, as well as a variety of creative classes and events.

5) Have Full Family Fun at Caravan Classes ????️

Finding indoor activities that keep the whole family engaged can be a challenge. Not a problem when you visit Caravan Classes. They offer a variety of art classes for all ages at their studio. They are also available for hire for pop-up events and parties. This is a fun way to keep kids engaged when the Indiana weather is not cooperating.

6) Visit Forest Park ????

If you are visiting Noblesville, Indiana, you simply cannot skip visiting Forest Park. Established in 1925, this 150-acre park is full of all sorts of attractions. Visit the nine-hole golf course (or mini golf course if you want a family-friendly option). Take a ride on the iconic Sleeping Beauty carousel. If it’s a beautiful day, you cannot miss the Forest Park skate park and the swimming pool on a gorgeous day.

7) Stay at White River Campground ????️

If you are planning a trip to Noblesville, why not make it a camping trip? Located on the banks of the White River, the campground is made up of 26 acres of gorgeous nature. Fish, canoe, hike, and enjoy nature all around you.

8) Stroll Around Historic Noblesville Square ????

Located in downtown Noblesville, Historic Noblesville Square is the best place to experience all the city has to offer. Hungry? You’ll find all sorts of great local restaurants, as well as charming boutiques. Don’t forget to check out the historic Hamilton County courthouse!

9) Giddy Up at K Trails Equestrian Adventures ????

Whether you’re a seasoned equestrian or a newbie, you’ll have tons of fun at K Trails! They offer guided trail rides for ages 7 and older. Got a young one with you? They can opt to take a pony ride to get comfortable around horses.

10) Stroll by the White River Greenway ????‍♂️

If you want to stretch your legs, you can’t go wrong with taking a short hike along the White River Greenway. This trail is 2.85 miles long and is open to bikers, skaters, and walkers. You’ll find excellent views of the entire Noblesville community, including Potter’s bridge. This bridge is the last remaining covered bridge in the area. The trail connects to Forest Park, making this hike a great way to knock out two destinations in one day.

11) Rock Out at the Ruoff Music Center ????

Ruoff Music Center has the distinction of being the largest outdoor music center in the entire world! The center is open May through September and has played host to hundreds of top-tier musicians throughout its thirty-year lifespan. If you love live music, there’s no place better to enjoy it!

12) Relax at Country Moon Winery ????

When you are looking for a weekend activity, you can’t go wrong with a trip to Country Moon Winery. They are open on Saturdays for wine tastings and vineyard tours. The winery specializes in growing hearty native varieties of grapes, as well as using other native fruits to create their signature wines.

13) Take a Dip in Morse Reservoir ????

Go for a swim at the beach in Morse Reservoir. As part of Morse Park, this gorgeous natural area has endless fun for the whole family. Spend a day lounging by the beach or visit their 18-hole disc golf course. Not loving the beach? Check out the Aqua Adventure Park, with its collection of water slides and climbing courses.
